ABOUT THE CALL

Strategic Innovation Open Call â€‹

EIT Urban Mobility invites innovators to submit proposals for impactful solutions addressing key challenges in urban mobility.

​

Funding: Up to €2M per project (max. 65% EIT funding, min. 35% co-funding). Total call budget: €60M (2026–2028).


Focus Areas:

  • Public transport

  • Urban logistics

  • Electrification & alternative fuels

  • Mobility data management

  • Health & mobility


Duration: Up to 2.5 years; commercialisation within 2 years after project end.

​

Who can apply: At least two independent legal entities from different EU Member States or Horizon Europe associated countries.

​

Duration: Projects starting from 2026.​

​

Startup Investment – Financial Support to Startups

EIT Urban Mobility supports European mobility startups with capital and hands-on support to scale sustainable urban mobility solutions.

Funding:

  • Up to €2.5M per startup

  • Grant + service package

  • Equity component: 5–10%

DesirMED Climate Ambassador Programme

Climate-KIC invites passionate individuals from Mediterranean communities to join the DesirMED Climate Ambassador initiative and share their stories of climate action and adaptation.

​

Goal: Build a community of 100 climate ambassadors to inspire change and promote local solutions across the Mediterranean region.


Format:

Submit your story through a short video, photo series, audio, or written article (max. 700 words).

​

Who can apply: Anyone actively engaged in environmental or community initiatives related to climate and nature solutions.​​

​

InnoNext Call for EIT Talents and Start-ups

InnoNext, powered by the European Innovation Council (EIC), connects EIT talents and start-ups through fully funded innovation internships across Europe.

  • Networking across Europe’s innovation ecosystem.

  • Talents: Students, graduates, and EIT Alumni from EIT Label programmes.

Catalyse NEB – Open Call 2026 

EIT Community invites impact-driven start-ups to join Catalyse NEB, supporting ventures that combine growth with sustainability, inclusion, and beauty under the New European Bauhaus initiative.

​​

Funding:

€20,000 grant per start-up for growth, travel, and dissemination.

​​

Focus Areas:

  • Reconnecting with nature

  • Regaining a sense of belonging

  • Prioritising places and people that need it most

  • Fostering circular, long-term thinking in industry

​

Who can apply:

Start-ups from EU or Horizon Europe-eligible countries, founded after 1 January 2020, with < €1M raised, and meeting one of the following:

  • ≥ €5K revenue (2024)

  • ≥ €10K investment

  • Graduate of the Grow NEB programme

​​

Sectors: 

Climate, food, manufacturing, mobility, circular economy, creative industries, wellbeing, and quality of life.

​

Deadline:
